Bill: IP Pornography Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Imperialist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2399
Description[?]:
Provision: This act shall not apply to child pornography I posit to you that artistic freedom is a good thing, fundamental to a free society. Without free speech, and the ability to criticize our government - sometimes through art - we have an autocracy. However, art is inherently subjective, making it difficult to draw the line. While society might be better served in theory by restrictions upon pornography, granting the government the ability to draw that line is problematic: if the government decides who can and cannot criticize it, how can a free society survive? |
