Bill: Remove Agriculture Subsidies
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2088
Description[?]:
Agricultural subsidies are not needed at all. Removal of subsidies allows competition and free trade to all. Prices will not be artificial and will instead be their true market value. The market will determine the price and the demand for certain products and this will save the government money and allow it to be used in more worthwhile areas, such as education, health care and defence. There is no need to subsidise this industry as their is always demand for food and subsidising it leads to over production and harms the environment. |
