Message | 1. There has been a change of government, from a leftist coalition headed by the CNT/AFL to a rightist coalition. This happened not through an election but through a close vote in the internal council of one party. The voters should have a chance to give their verdict on this sharp shift in government. 2. With no prior notice to the voters, one party has begun a systematic attempt to dismantle every form of environmental protection in Lodamun. The voters should have a chace to give their verdict on this, before environmental regulation is gutted. |

Message | The MLP would like to enquire the GA's reasons in calling for new elections. |

Message | Declined. The actions of one party are not aimed at damaging the environment in any way. They are aimed at providing the conditions in which true ecological action can take place. You can not force people to be green. They have to choose it. |

Message | So give them a chance. Let them vote, now that the hidden agenda of the earth-wreckers is clear. |

Message | Can you not get it into your heads that regulation is the earth wrecker. It seems not. |

Message | However we have no objection to placing this issue in the hands of the electorate as soon as the bills currently in voting have completed their passge through the parliament. |

Message | Sorry about the triple speech. Looking at the dates on the bills in debate, from our point of view after November would be fine. (A couple of our bills would bounce back, as would a couple of Tics, but that is their problem) this would bounce the DSP's Free literature act which is at present on route to losing so I guess they won't mind. |

Message | "So give them a chance. Let them vote, now that the hidden agenda of the earth-wreckers is clear." Our environmental stances have been very clear since this party was formed. Indeed, of my first two bills, the more important one concerned relaxing "highly restrictive" industrial environmental regulations. Also, due to the coding of the game, bills that are not resolved before an election, or in the same month of an election, do not affect the outcome at all. "There has been a change of government, from a leftist coalition headed by the CNT/AFL to a rightist coalition. This happened not through an election but through a close vote in the internal council of one party. The voters should have a chance to give their verdict on this sharp shift in government. " Change of cabinet you mean. The new cabinet was elected by a majority of parliament, same as any other parliament. They have repeatedly signalled their verdict on a capitalist government. The ASP has dominated the HoS for several decades now, before that the Amystian Council was commonly elected and their views are similar on many issues. "2. With no prior notice to the voters, one party has begun a systematic attempt to dismantle every form of environmental protection in Lodamun. The voters should have a chace to give their verdict on this, before environmental regulation is gutted." Every proposal we have made since July 2084 has concerned issues where we have made our stance known, or else the voters could figure it out as it went along with other issues on which we had made the stance known. Your stance has always been well known. You have always gotten your way with the environment. Things change. If you were more wiling to compromise with us, as the old CCF greens was on many issues, we would not be pressing an environmental agenda right now. Since the new Green player took over, our compatibility with that party has been steadily dropping. Certain things used to be understood, if the Greens gave us some needed votes every once in awhile, there was an unstated understanding that we would avoid major pressing of any agenda 100% opposed to their agenda. This unofficial understanding has been done away with, we no longer have qualms about aggressively addressing environmental issues in this manner, especially as none of these issues have been considered for many years and TiC is well known(to voters) as an eco-skeptic party(we established the first party identity on copyright laws and environmental regulation). In summary.... We are sorry you are suprised by this, but much would have been proposed much earlier had the old CCF not been on more cordial terms with us. Our stances on freedom of choice and the environment are easy to discover from past votes and bills. We are always consistent, and usually willing to compromise(we helped to make a leftist the head of government this term). In the last two elections, our support has drastically increased, yours has declined. Heed the will of the voters. |

Message | Put this to vote then. |
Date | 18:59:40, July 30, 2005 CET | From | Adam Smith Party | To | Debating the Call for early elections, September 2087 |
Message | You talk of putting it to the people, then decide not to. Are you democratic or just full of democratic rhetoric. Why have you put other bills forward before this one? |
Date | 19:01:44, July 30, 2005 CET | From | Tuesday Is Coming | To | Debating the Call for early elections, September 2087 |
Message | We have had an internal conference. We have decided that, while we have nothing to fear from an election, and many of our bills have already taken effect, we will vote in favor here, if only to gauge the populace's reactions. |
Date | 19:11:03, July 30, 2005 CET | From | Adam Smith Party | To | Debating the Call for early elections, September 2087 |
Message | There is then a consensus GA. Yourselves + ASP + TIC = 232 votes. This will pass. |

Message | We now have to declare that the GA are also a party oif Liars. This bill clearly states that "We, the Green Advantage, call for early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus." Such a consensus was reached: 19:11:03, July 30, 2005 CET GA was in the parliament Last activity: 19:55:48, July 30, 2005 CET As soon as obviously does not mean as soon as, or the GA is lying. |

Message | Well you are back again. Will you put it to vote now? |
Date | 20:43:08, July 30, 2005 CET | From | Cooperative Commonwealth Federation | To | Debating the Call for early elections, September 2087 |
Message | I was under the impression that bills were supposed to remain in debate stage for a period before going to a vote. Has the ASP changed its opinion on that? also i didn't write the bill description, it is automatically generated by the game. |
Date | 21:00:42, July 30, 2005 CET | From | Cooperative Commonwealth Federation | To | Debating the Call for early elections, September 2087 |
Message | however since that is only a matter of principle when convenient to the ASP, we will move it to a vote now. |
Date | 21:02:04, July 30, 2005 CET | From | Tuesday Is Coming | To | Debating the Call for early elections, September 2087 |

Message | Banzai! is what Japanese soldiers shouted in WW2 as they charged superior armed positions, to near certain death. |
