Message | Opposed. Teachers should have the right to discipline their students. We already know that detention doesn't work and expulsion doesn't solve the problem either. |

Message | How do we "know"? I'd be more deterred by losing an hour of my own free time than a quick rap on the knuckles. |

Message | Not everyone is like that DSP. With some, you have to wack. Its the only thing that they'll understand. By taking that away, your going to lose disipline in the classroom. Its already happened here. Once they took out, disipline in the classroom went right down the toilet. There is no disipline in our classrooms anymore. |

Message | And you think violence will bring it back? |
Date | 22:50:07, July 30, 2005 CET | From | Rightist Party | To | Debating the End Institutionalised Child Abuse |
Message | A rap on the knuckles isn't violence. Getting punched in the face is violence but what we're talking about is not violance. |

Message | Corporal punishment is violence directed against children. You seem to follow a very narrow definition of "violence" which is convenient for yourself, but you have not explained the difference between "a rap of the knuckles" and a punch. |
Date | 21:30:08, July 31, 2005 CET | From | Republican Party | To | Debating the End Institutionalised Child Abuse |
Message | Opposed. |
Date | 20:55:18, August 01, 2005 CET | From | Social Dynamist Party | To | Debating the End Institutionalised Child Abuse |
Message | We suggest that schools embark on a solitary confinement policy for troublemakers. This will replace suspension and expulsion (which may extend into school holidays to tackle persistent offenders), and will mean not only that children will not only view these as punisments, but also that troublemakers are kept off the streets. Children will have access only to textbooks during this time. |
Date | 22:34:43, August 05, 2005 CET | From | Patriot Party | To | Debating the End Institutionalised Child Abuse |
Message | The Tribal Council has approved of this bill. Be prepared for less disipline in the classrooms because of it. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
