Bill: Cabinet Proposal of March 2088

Details

Submitted by[?]: Cooperative Commonwealth Federation

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2090

Description[?]:

With one shift from MLP to Equitista, now the largest left-leaning party, this is identical to the previous left-wing cabinet proposed by the CNT/AFL.

MessageAC is active again, but this won't be rushed to a vote until CNT's return.

In the meatime, MLP, will you support it? If not I can do a new cabinet proposal of CNT-Equitista-Green-DSP, which is enough for a majority, but this offers you a chance to keep the foreign ministry.

Messageso that's a "maybe"?

If you DO make a commitment to support this cabient, MLP, then you can be in government and continue to provide Lodamun with sensible foreign representation. If you can't make a clear commitment to this proposal, then the Greens will support Equitista's cabinet proposal which does not include you. This is an olive branch. will you accept it or not?

MessageThat is the first time we have ever seen non-existent described as non-provocative. Various issues of importance have been directed to Ralph Uniquete, with little or no response.

There is the issue of the Zumian independence movement that has not been addressed, there was the question of creating a mutula self defense associaton amongst the Nations between New Endralon and the Endralonian Empire which still has not ben answered.

Yes it is non-provocative alright.

Message((It doesn't matter what time zone you are in. What matters is that requests directed at the Foreign Minister are made concerning ongoing events and no reply is received even after you have been on line. No one is asking for instant replies, but we are asking for a little more positive action when you are here.))

MessageA more active role in the Foreign ministry would have been nice earlier...

We may vote for this...
We are unsure whether we prefer to have Equitista or the Greens with more spots...We do not like that this proposal removes the DSP from Head of Government, but if they support it...

MessageWe would normally support a proposal like this, but we see no point in a cabinet reshuffle so soon after the last one was established.

MessageCNT -- this one was actually proposed first. There's a majority without MLP already, and this lets the majority decide if they want MLP included or not. The Greens are happy with either cabinet.

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election.
