Bill: Motion to Move to Elections, 2404

Details

Submitted by[?]: Fascist Party of Rutania

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: May 2405

Description[?]:

We, the Corporate Right Party, call for early elections as soon as we can reach a consensus. This move should come as little surprise as parties have now had the opportunity to propose their program. With the disappearance of the Crazy Anarchists, it's now time to give the minority parties seats and to give the unrepresented a voice.

MessageI won't put this up to a vote until the majority of bills being voted on now have had a chance to pass or fail. Please don't propose any more bills, however, so that we can get elections in.

MessageIt's not that the GIC, one of the seated parties, want to somehow manipulate the commonwealth, but I fear that calling for early elections will only cause chaos and the like. You are moving and planning to fast. Take it easy.

MessageNo. When you proposed it neither of us had any visibilities. Now all four new parties have had the chance to vote on issues and establish themselves, so that we'll actually get votes.

MessageAfter Consultation with our friends at the Corporate Rights Party, we, the Commonwealth Conservative Party, have decided it would be in the best interests of Rutania to call for early elections. I urge other parties to support this bill.

MessageIt's time, members of the Assembly, to place our platforms before the voters. A significant portion of the electorate remains unrepresented at the moment after the departure of the Crazy Anarchists. Our nation also suffers from rising tensions which are clearly the result of leaving too many parties without seats. We can assure our fellow delegates that the general temperature of the Assembly will drop significantly once we all feel like we have a seat at the table.

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass.
