| In the third trimester, fetuses are capable of thought, necessitating that we ban abortions during that period. Rationality is the basis of citizenship (hence the mentally disabled and children are granted limited forms of citizenship), necessitating this action. We cannot kill those capable of rational thought. Furthermore, in this stage, there is additional risk to the mother. |
