Message | Farmers are private businesses just like any other. Do you intend to also bail out shops that are short of money. How much is this going to end up costing the Government? |

Message | Depends on how well farmers who have gone under can pay off loans I'd imagine... |

Message | Farms are not private businesses "just like any other", they produce what we eat. Do you want create an environment where the only farms standing up are those that use every possible trick to squeeze everything financially with disregard to quality of their products? This is too important to swing around the 'unfailing capitalism' banner around. Agriculture is not a factory that produces toys or cars, you cannot treat them as any private business. |

Message | Actually, you could make an argument that in this day and age cars are almost as vital as food. Anyways, if you don't like the food someone makes don't buy it. Vote with your money instead of your pen for once. |

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature. |
Random quote: "A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." - Thomas Jefferson |
