Submitted by[?]: Alliance of Free Persons
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2097
Description[?]:
We, the Alliance of Free Persons, do hereby propose the following changes to our government. We do recognize that Aldegar has a long history of royalty, but also do recognize that in this century, it is not right to pass power along mere bloodlines. Our power derives from the people, and we therefore propose that while maintaining many of the traditions of the Monarchy, the elected monarch will act as a president, as opposed to a king, during his or her term of office. We do also propose changing the title of the Head of Govermnent from Prime Minister to First Minister, a symbolic change, to commemorate Aldegar's progression into the future whilst still maintaining links with her past. |
