Message | The supermarkets' Code of Practice, , will be toughened and extended to cover food processors and retailers. It will be made legally binding and monitored by an independent watchdog. The Code covers the manner in which big supermarkets handle their food suppliers and aims to reduce anti-competitive behaviour likely to result from the monopolistic position the big Dorvik supermarkets possess. We will also review how the Office of Fair Trading applies anti-monopoly laws with regard to the purchase and expansion of convenience stores by larger supermarket chains. |

Anti-competitive tactics will be punished and supermarkets will be regulated to make sure they do not preassure foreign countries to sell food at exponentially cheap prices, this aims to keep small bussineses protected and protect local food suppliers and farmers. |

Message | Again, no link or list of what exactly the CoP is. And the thing's still too vague; it could be interpreted way too broadly which leads to bureaucracy and mismanagement. |
