MessageAs many of you know, our software industry is basically non-existent. We are, in fact, the laughing stock of the world. Without this legislation, Software companies cannot protect the products they work so hard on. They then leave for nations that offer them the ability to safe-guard their creations.

Compounding this problem is our own nation's need to develop a viable space program. How can we do that if we have to acquire all our software form other nations? Not only does this increase the cost of the project overall, but we're missing out on an entire market of electronic goods.

With the ability to patent software, we will encourage companies already here to stay and attract foreign companies and investment. In short, this will create jobs.

MessageIntellectual Property ought to be protected like all others. A man should get credit for his work. Rewards encourage development.
