MessageGaduridos must be a beacon of light, a force for peace in the world. With this one step we can set an example of peace and understanding.

MessageAlthough we agree with the intentions behind this bill, we feel that the lessons learned from the war with Kalistan, specifically how quickly and for absolutely no realistic reason a nation is willing to to declare war on another, this bill would not help national security at this time.

MessageNLP - are you saying you disagree with the bill, or with what the PPP's saying?

PPP - I understand your concerns. I would like to have a dialogue with some of the parties in Kalistan before I send this to vote, to see if they might also consider decomissioning their nukes in concert with us.

MessageI feel that while other nations have the capability of attacking our nation with nuclear arms, then we should be able to defend ourselves with the same weaponary that we may be attacked with.

However if there was an international agreement that all nations are to put down their nuclear arms then the GNP will support this bill.

While other nations keep nuclear weapons, i feel we should as well.

MessageWe agree with the GNP. Although bilateral negotiations are well and good, there are plenty of parties and nations out theres like the BTP and the NSP in Kalistan who too easily and too willingly go to war for absolutely preposterous reasoning without a single regard whatsoever for people's lives. We must protect ourselves from such menaces.

MessageHowever, if a universal treaty was negotiated for all nations, we would support it.

MessageAs long as there are nations with WMD, we should reserve the right to have WMD. We will vote no.

MessageI still think saying we will wait for every other country to disarm is a copout. We still have substantial conventional forces to defend ourselves with. Someone needs to take the first step, to encourage other nations to get rid of their doomsday weapons. Why not us?

I am moving this to vote, with little hope of passing it obviously, but I sincerely hope some of you will reconsider.

MessageAfter a bit of thought, I've changed my postion and now agree.

I doubt any nations would want to use nuclear weapons on any other nation, even those that do not possess nuclear weapons., for fear of international retaliation. I think that by removing nuclear weapons from our arsenal, we set a good example for other nations to follow, while not compromising our national security.

MessageGiven the untrustworthiness of other polititical actors, as we have seen with the BTP, certainly now is not yet a good time for this bill to pass.

MessageCertainly, there is no good time to disarm, unless we are the only nation with nuclear weapons.
