Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2090
Description[?]:
A bill to re-establish the existence of a private education system operated by vouchers. This will reduce government spending, lead to lower taxes and mean that parents have greater choice when choosing an education for their children. Vouchers will be provided to those families on low incomes so that they are not disadvantaged by this law. The increased competition from schools competing for pupils will drive up standards and drive down fees. This bill will also reduce regulation on private higher education institutions. If a student decides to go there, the government has no business regulating it as it is not theirs and its the students choice. |

Article 2

Message | I cant agree to the second clause. Im all in favour of private education coexisting on a level playing field, but all children should have access to education regardless of their means. It really depends on how comprehensive the voucher system is. |

Message | Very comprehensive. The voucher system operates on a system of the poorest not paying at all, then those that can pay a little, pay a little and the rich pay for all of it. People will have this money because their taxes will be significantly reduced by this cut in government expenditure. |
