MessageWe fail to see how giving Everitt Diggory a $9 million raise will "better address the economic and social situation of the United Kingdoms of Lodamun."

MessageThe budget used to be 100 million or 1 billion. Realise that this is not his salary but travel, security, internal operations of the exectutive branch, etc. 10 million is probably still painfully low, but this is far from a $9 million raise as you claim. The whole executive branch will be struggling to function even with the limited resources of 10 million.

Messagea raise of 9 million for the head of government? Kudos to the URP, they continue to impress us with thier cool head for management. Not only are they good with negotiation, but their extensive skills extend to managing money. They're the complete package.

Other than that, We don't see that many problems, we just need some things cleared up:
1. Why are we cutting back on foreign relations and trade?
2. Clearly the increase in Enviroment and Tourism is to cover the new foresry service and historical society that has yet to pass. Shouldn't this be discussed and wait until that Bill actually passes?
3. Why increase spending on science? We've passed legislation (the space bill and the software patents) that means we can reduce spending on science and technology.
4. By drastically reducing the subsudies available to farmers, we would be doing damage to them. Is this a strong arm tactic to get the reduction of health codes the URP wanted?

Messagethe HoG was operating just fine before you proposed a 9 million LOD raise. Does Mr. Diggory need that extra money to continue to threaten to hang people or is it so he can begin following through?

Messageof course all budgets could be slashed to $1 million or $1 , URP believes 10 million is not only reasonale but incredibly low and it will continue to expand this number to at least 100 million. It makes no sense to cripple the whole exucutive to save a few bucks.

As for the other changes, they were all relatively small and what I felt best reflected the current priorities of Lodamun. Science went up (only slightly may i remind) despite whatever costs avings occured because investing in science will help make Lodamun technologically competitive. Increasing the Strength of Lodamun by investing in education, transportation improvements, and ecological protection. I wonder what is so horrible about this bill?

Messageecological protection that has yet to pass. Other than the massive pay raise for the executive (and more planned apparently), we're concerned that this budget jumps the gun. You're assuming that some things will pass that have not yet and you're planning according to some master plan.

Once again you've proven yourself to be reckless, this time with the tax payer's dollars. We were willing to go along with the budget just for diplomacy's sake but now that you don't have actual answers for our concerns, I believe that train has sailed.

Oh and a %17 cut in health and social services is far from small.

MessageAt what cost? At the cost of viable programs. I certainly like the idea of lowering government spending but I'm not pleased by the URP's undemocratic attitude and the increase in spending of the HoG as soon as the URP was in a position to do so.

This should have been discussed in committee and perhaps then Free Lodamun could have been persuaded to support it in the interests of keeping the government running. This should have been debated at least until the current legislation that effects this budget has been passed or failed. THAT is reckless governing and not at all in the spirit of the republic the URP claims to want.

MessageThe fact that you even brought up a budget for a vote without discussion is possibly the most ridiculous strong handed, monarchyistic move you could have possibly made, and then to be outright stupid and say that one guy needs 10 million bucks in order for the entire executive to function. Hahahahahahahaha. Unless you of course want us to believe that he will use his newfound wealth in order to help pay for the rest of the functionality of the executive branch.

MessageIt is absurd, as the Unified Lodamese have pointed out, that this proposal is already being voted on. The national budget is an issue for the entire government to debate and compromise upon. We cannot support anything less.

MessageULP, That money does pay for the executive branch functions run out of the prime minister's office. That would be like the whole budget to run the White House - staff, etc. Considering the population of Lodamun and the reponsibilities of the Prime Minister I think 10 million is too low, not too high

MessageYou have done massive cuts in essential areas, then invested in pointless areas especially the HoG. The only area we like the investment is into the education, however we are not happy at what expense that investment is at. We feel this is typical bad management we will come to expect of a URP government.

MessageURP believes this bill is too complicated to have in depth negotiation. Every party has been chiming in about little minute changes in this or that, and those changes probablyu would've upset more people who would demand new changes. In my next budget I;ll put together a more piece by piece budget that will probably have to be in three parts at least. This bill isn't going to make everyone happy, but I think it's a step in the right direction
