We propose the establishment of a publicly funded national healthcare system which will exist along side a privately operated system to ensure that all Aldegarians have access to first-class medical treatment. We further propose that essential medications receive some level of government subsidisation to ensure a healthy, productive populace. |

Message | No, a public system in addition to the private sector does not necessarily mean good service. In fact, it sometimes means bad service and a big waste of taxpayer money. As for article 2, perhaps some reform of that is necesary, but the current proposal goes too far. We're sure that pharmaceutical drugs are at low prices through the laws of the free market. |
