- in RL it's a flop.
- traditional agriculture is infested by seeds GM
- biodiversity and ecosystem are endangered
- free availability of seeds is compromised by the property of GM seeds
- developing countries' dependance on industrialized

- less important, potential effect on health, expecially allergenes and transfer of antibiotic resistance
