| Concerns have been expressed by parents and child welfare specialists about the quality of care provided by private nurseries. Many are excellent, but too many provide little productive stimulation for the children, and do not look after their welfare in a responsible way. It is time to introduce some regulation to raise standards and root out bad practice. |
