Bill: It is Already Very Difficult to Economically Compete with a Free Government Service; No Additional Regulation is Required--A Rational Removal of Certain Regulations
Details
Submitted by[?]: Tuesday Is Coming
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: January 2092
Description[?]:
Given that the government currently offers tax-funded goods and services at no additional cost to the consumers, it is next to impossible for private companies to compete, while somehow avoiding economic losses. The only reason that consumers would choose to pay for a service they could get for free is that they believe they are getting a better deal. Therefore, through economic competition and the market forces of consumer choice, private enterprises already face a difficult situation. As a result, additional regulations simply add compliance costs and are not needed. |

Message | I realize that some of these proposals are already being addressed in other bills. As my intent is not bill-jacking, they will be removed from this bill if it goes to a vote first, or if the other bills are passed first. They were included here because of the common theme, intent, and effect. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
