Message | we have the a problem with the whole "singles may adopt children" part of this bill |
Date | 05:40:06, June 19, 2007 CET | From | Secular Party | To | Debating the Progressive Bill |
Message | Singles can raise children just as well as couples. Besides, if you truly question the singles' ability to raise children, then we can enact a policy where there is an intense screening process if it doesn't already exist. |

Message | Yes singles in the case of an adobtion is fra worse off than a married couple even a divorced couple and then there is the whole issue of pedophiles |
Date | 05:56:04, June 19, 2007 CET | From | Secular Party | To | Debating the Progressive Bill |
Message | I'm pretty sure intense regulation of the adoption process will allow our officials to sniff out pediophiles. |

Message | There is a screening process but nothing is 100% and a single adopting children is generally somthing we worry about |
Date | 06:08:37, June 19, 2007 CET | From | Secular Party | To | Debating the Progressive Bill |
Message | You can get pretty close to 100% with intense regulation, and that statement you mentioned applies to couple, too. The two members of that couple can both be pediophiles, or the the couple prostitute their adopted child. |

Message | you just raised a lot of new good questions |
Date | 06:22:57, June 19, 2007 CET | From | Secular Party | To | Debating the Progressive Bill |
Message | Of course, adoption almost always results in enrichment of the lives of the parents and the children, especially when adoption is intensely regulated. We shouldn't restrict this merely because of a very slim minority. That applies for both singles and couples. |
Date | 06:33:43, June 19, 2007 CET | From | Christian People's Party (IA) | To | Debating the Progressive Bill |
Message | How about The state raises all children in state institutions? then there is no problems |
Date | 06:39:44, June 19, 2007 CET | From | Secular Party | To | Debating the Progressive Bill |
Message | Then you hurt the lives of the children and the parents over a small minority of people that can simply be arrested and then jailed or killed. Besides, state officials can be corrupt or pediophiles, too. |

Message | it seem to us to almost be the lesser evil |
Date | 12:20:14, June 19, 2007 CET | From | Luthori Christian Women's Association | To | Debating the Progressive Bill |
Message | We believe the best context in which to raise a child is with a married man and woman who are committed to each other and their child. However, we recognise that single people can do a good job of raising children too, and we certainly believe that, on the whole, the state does not make a great job of being a parent.
