Bill: Education Reform Act!

Details

Submitted by[?]: Radical Nationalist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2419

Description[?]:

We believe that private education creates a unfair class system with the rich getting better education and the government not feeling to not need to force improvements because of the private facilities being there. We feel by making it all public the pressure of the people will force the government to make standards the highest they possibly can.

MessageWe may be able to talk about these as single or dual issues, but four at a time may be too many to come to a consensus.

MessageThe only article which is possibly much of a difference is Charter schools, if that causes much debate I am willing to seperate Article 1 into its own bill for debate.

MessageDr. John Geib has read these proposals, and feels that this bill is worthy of discussion, however Article 2 can be changed to "private institutions must meet national standards" and article 4 is just dumb, and I promise you this bill will not pass with its' being present. I can take this to the papers if necessary, but we feel that we should be able to work this out in a democratic manner.

MessageThis completely destroys the Lodamun education system by taking away private schools. Doing so would force citizens to enroll in public education, which, if not up to standard, could provide people with a poor education. Well, we guess that's what communism is about...

Random fact: It is the collective responsibility of the players in a nation to ensure all currently binding RP laws are clearly outlined in an OOC reference bill in the "Bills under debate" section of the nation page. Confusion should not be created by displaying only some of the current RP laws or displaying RP laws which are no longer current.
