Message | Wow, the URP should go to hell for this one. |
Date | 06:42:38, June 23, 2007 CET | From | Lodamun Distributionist Party | To | Debating the Animal Act |
Message | There is no reason, in the opinon of the LDP, why there should NOT be regulations on animal testing. We feel that it is the only way to keep private companies, driven by profits, morally culpable. Clearly the safety of humans is more important than the safety of animals, but there is a moral issue at stake that cannot be left to individual corporations. We support the abolishment of animal testing in regards to cosmetics and other non-essential products altogether. |
Date | 10:57:11, June 23, 2007 CET | From | Communist Party of Lodamun | To | Debating the Animal Act |
Message | The CPL believes that animal testing should be legal, but strictly regulated. The CPL will vote no. |
Date | 13:07:56, June 23, 2007 CET | From | Democrats | To | Debating the Animal Act |
Message | In the interest of government unity, we shall back. |
Date | 13:23:26, June 23, 2007 CET | From | United Republics Party | To | Debating the Animal Act |
Message | The URP thanks the NMP for its support, however this bill is something of a stretch. URP has long supported the use of animals in research, however we urge the NMP to vote its conscience on this issue whichever way that may be. |
Date | 15:48:46, June 23, 2007 CET | From | Radical Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Animal Act |
Message | This is immoral and cruel, we must oppose at all costs. Do you people have no morals? |
Date | 19:34:50, June 23, 2007 CET | From | Lodamun Distributionist Party | To | Debating the Animal Act |
Message | "In the interest of government unity, we shall back completely unregulated testing on animals for any trivial purpose, no matter how else the testing could be done, so long as it saves money." We can understand governmental unity, but we're not sure that this was the proposal to take a stand on. Even the URP is a little hesitant about that statement. |
Date | 00:20:32, June 24, 2007 CET | From | Democrats | To | Debating the Animal Act |
Message | We believe that article two is vital, if lives can be saved, then science must advance. |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
