MessageThe SSDP would ask the FIP party what centrist element the following bill contains that should garner its approval, where as a similar bill proposed by the SSDP was turned down because it was too grounded in the ideology of privitization. The Party respectfully asks where this bill succeeds and the other failed, especially when the SSDP was willing to make changes to the bill to suit the "democratic" aspect of bill formulation.

Perhaps it has less to do with policy and more to do with this convenient coalition being cemented between an "Independent" party and the CPS?

MessageAnswering your question, we are a center political organization. The current laws are more leaning towards left politics, and while those are fine, we are for an important reason, moving more right on the issue to balance out to an equal center. While the move may seem unbalanced and far right, it is only to balance our former position which used to be further left. So the big picture actually shows us moving to the center.

Yes we did say that your bill was too privatized. And we similarly somewhat feel that this is a move that offers privitization to a more extensive act than we wish it to be. However, and I throw this in respectfully, had Mr. Jacob and other SSDP members read the FIP wiki description (which is our main source of official information), it says word for word, and I quote:

"The Federal Independent Party is an active political organization in the Federal Republic of Solentia. It is an extreme centrist party that thrives off of negotiation and cooperation."

If you note the two words "negotiation" and "cooperation", you'll see that we value political agreements which advance our cause further and allow FIP to be productive and attempt to pass legislation rather than stubbornly attempting to pass legislation that we know cannot pass without a deal. The world of politics is based off of negotiation, unless it is a one party dictatorship.

The CPS and FIP have been working cooperatively to ensure a strong presence in the Senate that will work progressively to ensure some legislation passes. Right now there is a party that prevents us from accomplishing our plans and due to the absence of 24 seats in the Senate that would most likely side with us if we were to negotiate, we cannot pass any bills. FIP approached the CPS regarding a better relationship that the two parties could work to preserve and to reform Solentian politics. So far the political agreement alliance has worked exceedingly well. If the SSDP wishes to work with the CPS and FIP, we would be glad to be the first to welcome your party into an alliance, so long you could work well with us. If you are interested, you may send FIP a private message concerning this topic.

However, if you suggest that the CPS and FIP are into shady politics, then the SSDP might as well forget working with us. The world of politics thrives off of political deals and that is what our parties were elected to do. If this is considered shady then politics itself might as well endure a major reform. We promised the people to accomplish what our parties stand for and that is simply what we are trying to do. FIP had reservations about this bill and that is why you no longer see Article 3 in it. We believe that nationalized companies is extreme and that regulating private companies is a suitable middleground to reach. Article 2 there was debate about, but in a later narrow vote by the party, we confirmed support for it.

MessageThe people of Solentia support the measures contained in Article 2. The SSDP considers itself, if anything, a party of the people, and will vote accordingly regardless of other factors involved in the formulation of this bill.

MessageIf the UDS are accusing the SSDP of being a terrorist for the simple fact that the SSDP and FIP do not see eye-to-eye on one particular issue... Then you, dear sir, are using language to distort reality. We found the FIP's explanation as to why it chose to vote in this regard to be sufficient, and as such we did not push the issue any further. Our Party is willing to cooperate on any measure that suits our ideology or the goodwill of the people of Solentia.

The Senate floor is no place for your salacious remarks.

Finn Jacob, SSDP
