MessageWhy shouldnt foreign investors have control of a national company? Xenophobia is no good reason to hold this country back.

MessageWhat in the HELL does this have to do with xenophobia? This bill is to make sure that Beiteynuian founded companies stay most Beiteynuian, it still allows a lot of foreign investment but not to the extent where if our country's economy is in a slump that foreigners come in and take over and we become slaves in our own land.

MessageWhat difference does it make if the investors are foreign or not? To us, suggesting that foreigners would use their stake to make us "slaves in our own land" sounds like xenophobia. Aren't they only interested in the same thing as Beiteynu investors, that is to make money?

MessageWhy is it that liberals always make everything out to be racial or racist. oh im sorry was that xenophobic? Any ways the communist party will vote for this bill because of their support for national industry like what we support, but we're just a bunch of xenophobics huh?

MessageWe never accused you of being a bunch of xenophobes, however this law does seem to discriminate against foreigner investors solely because they are foreign, which sounds xenophobic.

By the way, the reason we don't support this is because we beleive in the free market and fair competition, not because we have a liberal love of calling people racists.

MessageCome ON, the U.S has laws like this, Great Britian, France, Germany, Spain, Russia, China, are they all sounding xenophobic? This law keeps our companies in our hands it gives a more leveling playing, not to discriminate.

Message(ooc: I don't think you can use RL countries as examples in the game)

How does keeping companies in nationals hands create a more level playing field? It hinders the attempts of foreign investors because they can never control a majority share, therefore giving an advantage to national investors.

Random quote: “The people's war isn't just a war of destruction, it is also a war of construction. We will build new facilities, new hospitals, new farms. We will seek to improve the lives of the people around us. This struggle will be as costly as the struggle against the bourgeois army, and indeed will be even more damaging to the enemy.” - Comrade X, former Hulstrian politician
