Bill: Reduction in the workload of Imperial Councillors

Details

Submitted by[?]: Covenanters (IA)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2419

Description[?]:

I'm sure our Hon members aren't the only ones growing weary of the amount of legislation passing through this House at the moment.

We hope Imperial Cllrs across the board will support a move to reduce it. Not only will this limit the amount of voting we have to do but it might also encourae more debate at the drafting stage of bills, instead of seeing the same bill with slight modifications being presented and voted on in quick succession.

MessageToo many bills by any one party forces other parties to also make bills just for the sake of change, and liberalism of the system for liberalism sake is a bad policy.

MessageOOC: I don't like it. I getting the impression it will reduce the ability for smaller newer parties like myself and secular who have gone to the trouble of being as active as possible to gain seats to actually gain seats.

Less proposals mean less visibilty...which is fine if you already have a sizable percentage of the vote...but if you are seeking to gain , well ... I dont know.

it is what it is.
