Message | Work, is a character building experience. Regulated child labor is perfectly safe, and reasonable, not to mention giving children something to do other run the streets that is productive. Or will I be forced to explain to the young man who delivers my newspaper that he is no longer allowed to earn money, because it would be cruel. |
Date | 02:52:51, June 25, 2007 CET | From | Covenanters (IA) | To | Debating the Child Worker's Act |
Message | We congratulate the our Hon Friend from the Falls Party for reading our minds. A blanket ban on "child labour" means no paper rounds, cadetships or Army Foundation Colleges for under 18s. It also means those less capable pupils who drop out of school before the age of maturity will literally have nothing to do with their lives. |

Date | 10:36:01, June 25, 2007 CET | From | Luthori Christian Women's Association | To | Debating the Child Worker's Act |
Message | I am against child exploitation, but in favour of part-time work being available to children under dignified, responsible and regulated condition. My party will oppose this Bill. Belinda Braithwaite (Leader of the LCWA) |
