Bill: Responsible Animal Research Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: New Democratic Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 2421

Description[?]:

Science and research are extraordinarily important to culture and economy in the United Kingdoms of Lodamun. This bill ensures that they are done responsibly and ethically as well as efficiently.

This bill does not endorse the discontinuation of animals in research, but calls for "basic regulations," which should hold state and private researchers accountable without hindering the research process.

These regulations will include only issues such as intentional mistreatment of animals and other instances of abuse that the average Lodamun citizen would find offensive. It would also maintain a list of companies or research projects involving animal research.

-Lauren Bouchard, Minister of Science and Technology

MessageThank goodness this awful law only lasted a couple of years. The URP should be ashamed of itself for changing this law in the first place.

OOC, the Unites States probably tests its' products more than any other country on the planey, but their are definately regulations as to how much testing, and whati kinds of testing you can do on animals here. Good greif.
