Message | The SSDP is hesitant to offer its support for the following measure on the grounds that, when you create a grey area where the Death Penalty is allowable, you create situations where language can be used to dictate reality. There are acceptable punitive measures outside of facing the death penalty, for those in society who commit even the must abhorable acts. The Party is yet to decide how it will vote on the bill, but would simply like to bring it to the attention of the floor the dangers in allowing the Government the ability to hold another man's life in it's hands, based on its definition of what constitutes terror... When there are other adequate forms of punishment outside of the death penalty, for any crime. We will deliberate, and then commit our small legislative weight to one side or the other.
