MessageA strike is a group of workers refusing to do their jobs. In most cases, this would break the contract they have with their employers, and so for us not to allow employers to fire them would be us saying we do not care if their workers break the law.

Apat from that, its not the governments job to tell employers who they cannot fire. If we start telling people how to run their businesses, well, it just isnt fair. Its their company, they should be allowed to run it how they like.

MessageIf the government left the right to fire strikers to the companies the unemployment rate would skyrocket because companies are no longer entitled to give in to demands of strikers or at least comprimise, so there you go.

MessageNo it wouldn't. In skilled jobs companies will atrempt to negoiate a settlement because they do not want to train new workers. In unskilled jobs, the worst that can happen is the employer fires the striking workers and hires the same number of new ones. Either way, the unemployment rate is not increased.

However, government involvement could increae the unemployment. If the government refuses to allow an employer to fire striking employees who he cannot reach a satisfactory settlement with, he may lose his contracts with other businesses and be forced to close down his business, making him and his employees unemployed. As you can see, government involvement can be dangerous.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "Conservatism, however, is too often a welcome excuse for lazy minds, loath to adapt themselves to fast changing conditions." - Sigmund Freud
