Message | OOC: How will this work exactly? I'm assuming there will still be one cabinet for the nation, so how is it determined? Please explain; I'm still kind of new to this game. |

Message | OOC: Everyone can propose a cabinet to be voted on. Just like we have now...the only difference is that right now only the biggest party can propose. |

Message | There would clearly be chaos if this bill passes. If we want to ensure that the party proposing the cabinet has majority support, we should look into a republic with the president proposing the cabinet. It would also be easier to topple a government with new elections. Say if the Communists or Nationalists wanted to topple the URP/NMP government, it'd be incredibly hard under the current system. Even if new elections were called, the URP or NMP would likely remain on top. If there was a president who proposed the cabinet, say the URP, and the opposition called new elections, it's possible that if the nationalist, communists, and minor parties all endorsed the same cabdidate, he could beat a URP candidate. Basically I argue that a republic would allow more flexibility in the cabinet creation process without causing the disorder that will surely come if 9 parties start proposing cabinets every other month. |
