Bill: Gambling Regulation Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Independent Republican Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2423
Description[?]:
Currently, gambling in Lodamun is completely legal and subject to no regulation. While we believe in keeping gambling legal, we also think that it should be subject to some basic regulation. Also, regulating gambling would allow the Lodamun government to collect taxes from winnings. |
Proposals

Proposal[?] to change The right to gamble.
Old value:: Gambling is legal across the nation, no regulation whatsoever.
Current: Gambling is illegal unless taking place in a licensed casino.

Message | If you had to apply for a license, you could be subject to regulations including reporting payouts for taxation purposes. The way we understand the current law, the complete lack of regulation seems to imply that there is no taxation, except for when winnings are reported (as the ULP mentioned.) |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, it is the responsibility of players to ensure the candidate boxes on their Party Overview screens are filled in with appropriate names. If a player is allotted seats in a Cabinet bill and has not filled in names for the relevant candidate position, then the program will automatically fill in the positions with names which might not necessarily be appropriate for the Cultural Protocols. |
