Details

Submitted by[?]: We Say So! Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2091

Description[?]:

Clarification of research laws.
The use of Chemical, Biological and Nuclear Weapons is outlawed, however the research of such materials is allowed in order to provide information on possible cures and resistant materials to such weapons.
These research materials may never be attached to any form of weapon, nor may they be introduced for military use.

Further research may be carried out on similar technologies to provide economically and environmentally sound resources (i.e. Nuclear Powerstations), but may not be modified in any way to allow for practical military usage.

Research will be carried out by Government owned research facilities and testing facilities. Limited contracts will be provided to private companies with experience in this form of product and, as long as they operate under Government supervision and, where required guidence, so as to provide valuable extra knowledge, and reduced costs, to any such project.

Testing of products will be limited in order to cause the least environmental harm possible, whilst also proving that said products are succesful in their designed usage.

MessageThis bill I believe is a necessary evil, especially with regards to finding cures to these weapons if are ever attacked. One question though, where will this testing be taking place? and who will be in charge of the research and also the security measures that it will entail? But that said, I'll support.

MessageWe can support this, although we are against the idea of any nuclear, chemical or biological testing which would be environmentally damaging, such as testing at sea.

MessageIt would probably be best, especially for security, that most of the testing be carried out by the Government and government owned research facilities. That said, limited contracts could be provided to private companies with experience in this form of product and, as long as they operate under Government supervision and, where required guidence, they should be able to provide valuable knowledge to any such project.

Random fact: Whilst the use of non-English languages can be appropriate for nation names, party names, constitutional titles and other variables, English is the official language of communication in the game. All descriptive texts and public communications should be in English or at least appear alongside a full English translation.
