Message | Mr. Speaker, Passing this legislation would be a huge setback for women, family planning and public health. I yield the floor. Belinda Braithwaite (Leader of the LCWA) |

Message | How do contraceptives go against God's plan. They exist, and God hasn't smoted them all into dust. So, apparently, God's fine with them. |

Message | Mr. Speaker The Falls Party position on this matter was made clear when it successfully brought the partial Imperial funding of contraceptives to vote, and pass. We are against abortions, therefore contraceptives are a logical responsibility of the Empire. We could agree to offer no funding as this would reduce spending, but to outlaw them...no. I yield the Floor. |
Date | 21:33:03, July 01, 2007 CET | From | Radical Reform Alliance (RRA) | To | Debating the Contraceptive Ban Act |
Message | the Lord has never banned contraceptives. The reference in Genesis was not because Judahs son withdrew the seed, it was because he wouldn't fulfil the Jewish responsibility of giving your brothers wife a son if he dies and leaves her widowed. That leaves me to conclude that it is against the Christian nature of this state to ban contraceptions and abortions. |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
