Bill: DWC Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Luthori Christian Women's Association

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 2423

Description[?]:

I see no reason why free enterprise should be prohibited by outlawing the establishment of worker co-operatives. If these co-operative organisations are successful, let them thrive; if they are unsuccessful, let them go bankrupt and fail.

MessageMr Speaker,

We are voting against this bill because we understand the difference between a co-operative group of investors and a 'democratic worker's council'. The latter needing no capital and generally causing trouble for the rightful owners of industry. If workers wish to own a company, let them raise the capital through loans and buy it the way it has always been done.

Random fact: Real-life organisations should not be referenced in Particracy, unless they are simple and generic (eg. "National Organisation for Women" is allowed).
