Message | Mr Speaker, We are well aware of the price of telephone communications. We all have to pay the bills our wives incur. When I find that she is costing my household too much, however, I seek to change my phone provider to one that is cheaper. Artificially controlling prices would make this impossible, it would discourage healthy competition and damage the telecommunications industry. It might even breed monopolies, and we don't want that. |
