Description[?]:
A ressurection of the following Bill http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=111801 however with the following text, rather than the original This Bill aims to create a Church of Lodamun, and outline which religions are to be recognised and as such receive specific state funding and help. Therefore we propose that the Church of Lodamun shall consist of three parts, who shall both be recognised as the "State Church" in the nation. However despite the three being recognised as a joined Church, the three shall remain seperate and free to continue worshipping in their traditional manner. The two Churches therefore recognised as the two parts of the "State" Church are to be the; - Reformed Church of Lodamun, the largest Protestant Church in the nation and - Orthodox Catholic Church, the largest Catholic Church in Lodamun and - Other Christian Churches In terms of "Recognised" religions, with the applied benefits of the ability to run religious schools, and receive tax breaks, only the three "State" Churches shall receive this status. |

Message | This bill is a complete joke to win win a few votes in Kregon. |

Message | Wow. Except for my abortion bill, I don't think I've seen anything more destined to fail than this. A suggestion: eliminate article 1. 2 and 3 might, MIGHT be able to squeek through given enough debate. Article 1 is sort of insane. Article 2 actually has some merit on its own, if we only recognize a few religions, and we extend this to religious denominations, then we can relax the regulations we have in place to keep the religious nutjobs at bay. This doesn't mean "No Islam" or "No Jedi" what it means is "No Islamic mosque can be established by known radicals" and "no dark-siders." You dig? We're doing that already with our regulations but instead of keeping an eye on them before, after, and during the establishment, we limit our interference to pre-establishment. We should all get on better that way. |

Message | The NMP, and its predecessor has always favoured having a state church, and remains one of the few parties in Lodamun that does not desire to be secular. So this is not a joke to win votes, this is a serious part of traditional conservative policies in our nation. However, FL, we do accept that this is likely to fail, but it is important to have our intentions known, and it is important to start this debate in the FPP, so that in future we can develop it. We note your objections and suggestions for the future, however we shall put this to vote in the near future in order to determine what degree of support it has. |

Message | We see no real reason to change the current laws. That being said, we wouldn't fight hard against the passage of article 3 on its own. We would like to see the PFP reaction to article 2 on its own, as well. |

Message | We'll probably do that then. |
Date | 08:26:15, July 06, 2007 CET | From | The Unified Lodamun Party | To | Debating the Established Church of Lodamun Bill |
Message | The ULP would accept both the 2nd and 3rd proposals so long as the terms "other christian" churches was very broad, meaning any religion that looks as Christ to its' foundatino. Also, we would like to see the Jewish faith added to this list as it is the faith from which "Christian" faiths were born. |
Date | 13:21:37, July 06, 2007 CET | From | Democrats | To | Debating the Established Church of Lodamun Bill |
Message | But Jews reject Christ. If we are going to add religions linked to Christianity we should recognise Islam, as at least they recogise Christ as a propeht, rather than rejecting him completely. |
Date | 16:46:30, July 06, 2007 CET | From | The Unified Lodamun Party | To | Debating the Established Church of Lodamun Bill |
Message | Islam rejects Christianity as a whole and the fanatical Muslims hate Christians. You add Judaism because according to Christian faith, the Israelites are still God's chosen people regardless of whether they accept Christ as their Messiah or not. OOC, also throughout history countries that stand against Israel end up being defeated in some way or another and somehow tiny Israel continues on. For many years they continued on as a tradition and nothing more, but the survived regardless. |

Random fact: Cabinet ministers who disagree seriously with the head of government would usually be expected to resign. Parties within the cabinet may attempt to manoeuvre to replace the head of government though, for example by proposing a new cabinet bill or voting for an early election. |
