Bill: Revised libel laws
Details
Submitted by[?]: National Meritocratic Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2425
Description[?]:
Current legislation states that "Individuals may sue over all defamatory remarks printed on them, even truthful ones." We deeply oppose (and are alarmed by) the potential for the supression of truth that this allows, therefore we suggest that the law be changed to "Individuals may sue over falsehoods printed on them." |
