Bill: NMP State Religion Bill
Details
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2425
Description[?]:
We recognise that our "Church of Lodamun" Bill is unlikely to pass in its entirety, thus we have split it up into three parts. This version of the CofL Bill concerns the creation of a state religion, which as mentioned in the CofL Bill would be a simple union of the Reformed Church, the Catholic Church, and any other sects that choose to opt in. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy concerning religions.
Old value:: There is no government policy concerning a state religion.
Current: There is no government policy concerning a state religion.
Proposed: There is an official state religion, but membership is completely voluntary.

Date | 10:04:23, July 06, 2007 CET | From | The Unified Lodamun Party | To | Debating the NMP State Religion Bill |
Message | Again, the ULP supports this idea so long as the term "other Christian" is very broad and includes all forms of faith attesting to Christ, and the "Christian" church's forefather Judaism. |
Date | 11:45:51, July 06, 2007 CET | From | United Republics Party | To | Debating the NMP State Religion Bill |
Message | The URP has ties with groups such as the Jedi Temple of Lodamun, Lodamese Muslims, and Pantherists. We cannot support this pro-Christian garbage. URP is commited to a vibrant, inclusive society; the kind of society this bill would destroy. |
Date | 14:05:34, July 06, 2007 CET | From | Democrats | To | Debating the NMP State Religion Bill |
Message | Naturally Chritian refers to all Christian types. However, ULP, we could not possibly include Judaism in the state Chrsian Church, for reasons outlined elsewhere. It would be just as logical to include that Christian heresy, Islam, as it would be to include Judaism. Naturally, we could not possibly include a TV cult, or a child abusing cult in the state religion. Nor can the URP be committed to a vibrant inclusive society if they describe the majority faith in this nation as garbage. |

Message | Sorry, that should be Christian. not Chritian. |
Date | 16:54:43, July 06, 2007 CET | From | The Unified Lodamun Party | To | Debating the NMP State Religion Bill |
Message | When Christians turn on God's people, they are no longer Christians in the eyes of the ULP. |
