Message | The Republic People Party must be living in a world of fantasy regarding this legilsation. In regards to article 1) - As mentioned on a previous debated local government have more of an understanding of local issues than national governments. Therefore taking away the power of the local government in regards to curfew control would be foolish - One Nation has faith in local governments in providing adequate support in reducing crime and promoting justic. Article 2) - this is another airy-fairy policy - when one commits a crime they must do the time - the purpose of doing the time is to punish them. By giving them a wage whilst in prison will not punish them nor will it rehabilitate them - also at who's cost? My guess the taxpayer will pick up the tab for this - One Nation cannot support the wastage of Alorian's taxes on such a program. I would urge other conservative parties to consider these points - they are both economically and socially unsound. |
