The Government of the Republic of Trigunia and the Government of the Independent Republic of Lodamun, desirous of strengthening the cause of peace and cooperation between Trigunia and Lodamun and to ensure the security of both nations have agreed to a mutual protection pact between their nations.

Article 1

Both Signatory Nations shall refrain from any act of violence, any aggressive action, and any attack on each other, either individually or jointly with other powers.

Article 2

Should one of the Signatory Nation initiate a conflict or war against a third party, the other Signatory Nation is not obliged to lend its support to the Signatory Nation that initiated the conflict. They must not however support the third party. If a similar treaty exists between the other Signatory Nation and the third party then the other Signatory Nation will remain neutral.

Article 3

Should one of the Signatory Nations become the object of aggressive action by a third power, the other Signatory Nation shall in no manner lend its support to this third power but will support the other Signatory Nation in their fight against this act of aggression and use any means necessary to help.

Article 4

Neither of the two Signatory Nations shall participate in any grouping of powers whatsoever that is directly or indirectly aimed at the other party. Each Signatory Nation must respect the political sovereignty of the other Signatory Nation.

Article 5

Should disputes or conflicts arise between the Signatory Nations over problems of one kind or another, both parties shall settle these disputes by peaceful means in such a manner that peace and security are not endangered.

Article 6

After the present treaty has been in force for five years, or at any time thereafter, the Signatory Nations shall, if either of them so requests, consult together for the purpose of reviewing the treaty.

Article 7

The present treaty shall be presented for ratification by the Governments of the Signatory Nations to their respective Legislatures within the shortest possible time. Each Signatory Nation shall notify the other of the outcome of the ratification vote. The agreement shall enter into force as soon as it is ratified by both Signatory Nations in their legislatures.

Random fact: The influence a bill has on elections decreases over time, until it eventually is no longer relevant. This can explain shifts in your party's position to the electorate and your visibility.

Random quote: "We are told that this is an odious and unpopular tax. I never knew a tax that was not odious and unpopular with the people who paid it." - John Sherman
