Our brave men and women serving in our armed forces deserve no less than the full freedom to respond in kind to any attack made upon them! Without this, we are in danger of nuclear, biological, or chemical blackmail, knowing that we cannot respond in a sufficient manner. Mr. President, we must not allow a mineshaft gap!
