Message | Makes sence. A test would build a bond of citizenship, rather than the current accident of geography. |
Date | 13:57:22, July 16, 2007 CET | From | Liberal Party of Malivia | To | Debating the Governing Nationality |
Message | We support this proposal but we do not agree with the Nationalist party's rhetoric. Nationality is not something that should be «earned» through hard work and «service to the state». A nationality simply reflects a society that understands it's common values and equality under rule of law. The test is necessary to ensure this understanding from our newcomers. However with our current poverty levels (which we intend to mend), we sincerely doubt anyone is seriously thinking about immigrating here. |
