Bill: Bill to Establish an Animal of the Nation [BEAN]

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Rationalists (PrCoa)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2430

Description[?]:

The Democratic Rationalists note with dismay that the great Democratic Republic of Aloria has no national animal. For at least two reasons, we believe this is an unfortunate state of affairs:

1) A national animal will be an important symbol for Alorians to rally around, and express their patriotism.

2) Establishing a national animal will help define Aloria's culture. Through our national animal Alorians will, in the words of one famous anthropologist, "say something about themselves, to themselves." Are Alorians cunning like a fox? Or are they wise like an owl? Or are they soft and cuddly like a kitten?

For these reasons, the Democratic Rationalists propose that the Senate of the great Democratic Republic of Aloria select and establish a national animal to honor and celebrate.

Hail Aloria!

MessageWe invite all parties to propose a national animal. We hope to forge a consensus. The Democratic Rationalists believe that the wisdom and majesty of the Alorian people are best symbolized in the Great Alorian Horny Owl.

MessageOne Nation being a conservative nationalist political party supports the idea of having a National Animal. However we have doubts about the Great Horny Owl!!

MessageHistorically the lion was Aloria's national animal, and we do not see anything wrong with establishing one as long as it is the lion, which symbolizes Aloria's history.

MessageThe lion is a bold, majestic owl. The Democratic Rationalists would favor a bill to establish Aloria's historical animal, the lion, as its national animal.

MessageOne Nation would be happy to support the Lion - which is an animal - which the owl is also an animal but it isnt a lion - It's as confusing as the current status quo!

MessageWhat history? We haven't had a national animal in decades. The only party here to remember when we did, other than the MLP, is the AHR. History? Only the AHR and MLP know anything about Aloria's history. And besides, do you see a lot of lions wandering around Aloria? How is that part of our culture and history? Do lots of Alorians keep lions for pets? No. Ridiculous this bill.

MessageThank you for your votes, ON, CP, and RPP. I urge those parties who have not yet voted to vote to make the mighty lion once again Aloria's national animal! With the lion as our national animal, the world will hear unmistakably the sound of our mighty roar!

Aloria prevails!
