MessageAll this will do is encourage parents to pull their children out of school at an early age so they can work and bring short-term economic gain to their family, without recognizing the detrimental effects that a lack of education will have on their future earnings.

MessageCP, it's not necessarily about how smart people are. Sometimes short term financial circumstances pressure people into sacrificing long term goods for short term essentials. When the family having trouble making ends meet, and both parents are already working, it might seem rational to pull junior out of school to fill in the gap. It might even seem like the only option.

DR respectfully votes no.

MessageOr maybe people aren't so short sighted. You portray the citizens as a kind of idiotic mess that needs every little thing done for them/ handed to them. Just so you know, they aren't. They can take care of themselves and make decisions, and it is none of our business whether junior goes to work or goes to school either. Maybe on-the-job training is better than school for him? People learn in different ways. If yo think everyone learns at a school or being home schooled best you are direly mistaken. Some people have it in their be interest to go to work early and learn the family trade, etc.

MessageIt may be in their short term interest to get a job, but in the long run, without an education, they will make far less money and contribute far less to the Alorian economy then they would have otherwise.
