Message | It is the view of the Malivian National Unity Front that it is not our duty to dictate the reasoning behind a divorce. It is an unfortunate event that couples find themselves at such a crossroads and it is something the individuals in question must live with their entire lives. Why should we set moral guidelines on when and why a legally married couple can file for a divorce? It is the governments responsibility to set forth precedent in precedings to determine such things as estate ownership, custodial issues and other asset related entities that come along with legal marriage in Malivia. |

Message | Please read the law that changed this: http://80.237.164.51/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=123926 We are not dictating morality in any way. we treat marriage as a contract which, like any other, can not be broken without consequences. |

Message | Respectfully to the Protectorate Party, I'm not going to go into a nomenclature debate with you. I see the law, and seen it prior to and still stand by my comment. If you were to read more closely the current law, which is as outlined above: Current: Divorces are only legal with grounded cause. (such as adultery, or violence) The M.N.U.F. stated a concern as follows, "It is the view of the Malivian National Unity Front that it is not our duty to dictate the reasoning behind a divorce." And as the law stands, current, my point remains valid. Regards, The Malivian National Unity Front |

Message | OOC: Since the game mechanics do not permit an infinite number of choices is is customary to pick the one which most resembles the desired law. Thus the choice made to the current law. Your first point remains valid, I was objecting to your use of the term morality, since the morals and permitted "grounded cause" are dictated by the involved parties and not the government. |

Message | OOC: We're on the same level then. I just wanted to point out, in-game, that fallacy. To all, I do not mean to ever cause by intention bitter feelings. I could really see myself getting into this but, I don't want others thinking portraying my party in a realistic fashion as me, Skip, being abrasive to the people behind your parties. :-) |
