Bill: Ending Imperialism

Submitted by[?]: Enlightened Cosmic Brotherhood

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2432

Current aid laws require poor, impoverished nations to sign exclusive and often times harmful trading right agreements with Al'Badara in exchange for said aid. This is a sad state of affairs for a nation so ardent about ending and fighting imperialism. We are no better.

Therefore, it is time to end this. If we supply untied aid to poor nations they would still trade with us and be forever grateful, more so then if we force them to trade with us. The current law makes us no better then imperialistic capitalist nations. These are our brothers in the struggle, we should not bully them.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.

Random quote: "What are you trying to protect heterosexual marriages from? There isn't a limited amount of love in Iowa. It isn't a non-renewable resource. If Amy and Barbara or Mike and Steve love each other, it doesn't mean that John and Mary can't." Ed Fallon
