Bill: Ending Imperialism
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2432
|Current aid laws require poor, impoverished nations to sign exclusive and often times harmful trading right agreements with Al'Badara in exchange for said aid. This is a sad state of affairs for a nation so ardent about ending and fighting imperialism. We are no better.|
Therefore, it is time to end this. If we supply untied aid to poor nations they would still trade with us and be forever grateful, more so then if we force them to trade with us. The current law makes us no better then imperialistic capitalist nations. These are our brothers in the struggle, we should not bully them.
Proposal[?] to change Government policy towards giving aid to foreign countries.
Old value:: The government supplies "tied" aid to poorer nations in return for trading rights.
Current: The government supplies "tied" aid to poorer nations in return for trading rights.
Proposed: The government gives moderate aid to countries in need.
