Bill: Military Reform #2
Details
Submitted by[?]: Capitalist Working Families
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2432
Description[?]:
Now, we ALL agree that use of Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear weapons is an ABOMINATION b/c they can kill innocent civilians. Nevertheless, simply banning them by "law or treaty" will NOT eliminate them b/c ONLY Law-abiding Nations would comply. Criminals, Terrorists, and Nation-States that sponsor Terrorism will disavow the Treaties b/c they have no respect for the law in begin with. Therefore, if they use those weapons, we need the capability to DEFEND the sovereignty of our nation and people. |
Proposals
Article 1
Withdraw from the World Peace Treaty.

Message | This is absolutely ridiculous. The People of the World shall not look kindly upon this step in the wrong direction. When the Mormon people were in exile in Rutania we formed this treaty and by doing so we advanced the cause of World Peace. I can guarantee you that the relations between Rutania and foreign nations will suffer greatly. |

Message | This treaty will NOT advance world peace b/c only law-abiding nations will obey it. Terrorists and rogue nations will disregard it and store and continue to use chemical, biological, and nuclear weapons. The result the people of Rutania would be at the whims of the terrorists holding the Nuclear weapon. I don't believe we should fire nuclear weapons, but all options should be at least on the table. Thanks. |
