Description[?]:

Work makes a man. Prisoners work all day so they have no time for the "education" plan. The best things they will come out of prison with, are a strong muscles! Beluzia was built from the might of its men folk! Once again it shall be built by ex-cons returning to the world to labour hard and make our nation great! They will work where ever the call for a strapping lad rings out!

MessageWe shall oppose this resolution, and are further dissapointed by the lack of reason displayed by the Partisans And Artisans League, in wishing to revoke programmes that have been so succesful in re-integrating prisoners into society in the past.

MessageThey aren't successful. All that happens is you end up with educated criminals and that can only lead to more trouble. The only way to stop reoffenders is a change of heart and this doesn't come from government policies but from Beluzians. Smaller government = Bigger voice of the people!

MessageEducation improves the chances of criminals getting normal jobs, which reduces crime. Teaching convicted inmates a healthy work ethic, as well as mental change, is the way forward. Simply locking people up and doing nothing will not improve them.

MessageYes but it does keep them off the streets.

Punishment not rehabilitation!

MessageHow does educating people *in prison* and keeping people in prison without education make a difference? In both cases, the inmates are not on the streets.

Punishment AND rehabilitation!

MessageIf there is no education plan in prison, then they will spend all their time learning how to better commit crimes. Criminals can redeem themselves, and education helps make that possible.
