Bill: Giving Every Child a Chance

Details

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Liberals

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2434

Description[?]:

Current: The government does not hold qualifications for new parents.
Proposed: The government requires a test for would-be parents, if parents circumvent the test they are allowed to keep the children, but are watched for incompentence.

In order to help safeguard the proper upbringing of children. This measure would mean parents-to-be would have to study up on parenting and help keep a watchful eye on those parents who's results indicate they might be dangerous, or have a negative affect on the growing child.

MessageWe are concerned with the state "watching" the failures, the recognition of different cultures in this test, and the general running costs and time of such a large intrusive program.
Do we not trust our own citizens?
