Bill: Trusting the Military

Details

Submitted by[?]: Progressive Liberals

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2434

Description[?]:

When it comes to race and military, our people have opinions which no party in power would agree with. A poll carried out in Jan. 2434 states that a majority (just over 30 percent) of citizens feel only people of a certain race/religion should be allowed join the military to defend their country.

The second most popular option is the one that The Progressive Liberals support. Just under 30 percent of people agreed that the government should not interfere with the military over who can serve in it.

The Progressive Liberals therefore put forward a proposal that the State no longer interferes with the rules re: recruitment of staff into the military. The military knows what is best for itself. Let's let them think for themselves.

The people clearly feel that the military should be allowed more freedom on this topic. I trust them to do what is best for improving our military and therefore propose that we "butt out" of their business when it comes to who they hire.

Regards,
Mark Phillips

MessageThe military is not separate from the government. It is there for our nation's defense, and it will abide completely by our rules and regulations.
Though the Liberty Party detests state intervention, we must stress that there are fanatics in the military, and we won't have racial or religious discrimination in our defense force. If that requires intervention, which it does, we must support regulation and vote against this bill.
