Message | Thank you DCLP We could also be coherent in our 'free market' idea and not subsidize any industry at all... Anyone? |

Message | Article 1: Defence industries need to be subsidised by the state for extra funding and support of our national manufacturers. Article 2: The government shouldn't subsidise failing industries because the market (people) decide what goods or services they wish to buy. If an industry is failing it is because they do not have sufficient demand to survive. We will not support this bill. |

Message | As usual the fascists are not very coherent in their views. ;-) Why would the defence industry have to be subsidised? Following your reasoning for article two, if our 'national manufacturers' fail, then maybe it is because they do not have sufficient demand? If an industry can't survive without the support of the government, has it any reason to exist? And if defence is such an 'important' industry that it does not have to follow the rules of free market, and thet their only consumer is the government, why not nationalise it, then? |

Message | We do not nationalise the defense industries for three reasons. Firstly, private manufacturers are in competition which increases the quality of the products; secondly, taxes will have to rise to support it which my party do not want; thirdly, nationalised products and services are always inefficient and a complete waste of the people's money. It is more important to subsidise the military, not only is it necessary, but we can put forward more funds. This is not as vital in the consumer industries business where we do not care what country produces the goods or if our national manufacturers happen to fail due to lack of demand. It is not our problem, but the military is and always will be. |

Message | 1) Private manufacturers are in competition alright, but only to get the biggest slice of the subsidies. The know the money is there, so it's just a question of how to get it. 2) Raise Taxes? Why? We already spend an indecent amount of money on defence and we have an enourmous surplus on the budget. 3) I would like to see some peremptory proof that nationalised products and services are always inefficient. Sure you might know of some examples, as do I for inefficient privately produced services and goods (see 1). You are so right that the military is our problem, which is exactly why we should take care of it and thus nationalise it. If then it proves to be inefficient we will only have ourselves to blame. |

Message | 1. We spend money on the military because Dolgaria is the best and we want to blow up other nations. 2. We do not wish to raise taxes further in order to nationalise military manufacturers when they are perfectly capable of doing it privately. Also, nationalised industries are inefficent, bureaucratic messes and always will be. Competition brings out the best in us. |
